Codewit Online Journals and Publications is an open access journal that publishes high-quality solicited and unsolicited articles, in English. It was founded to promote research on Africa and beyond. Its main emphasis is on current issues in African politics, economies, societies , international relations, African literatures, sociolinguistic topics of cultural interest, music, oral and written traditions etc. It is an interdisciplinary, fully refereed, online open access journal dedicated to publishing the finest scholarship relating to the African continent.

It is intended not only for students and academic specialists, but also for general readers and practitioners with a concern for modern Africa, living and working both inside and outside the continent. Editorial policy avoids commitment to any political viewpoint or ideology, but aims at a fair examination of controversial issues in order to promote a deeper understanding of what is happening in Africa today.

With Codewit publications,  we strive to help the world and especially the African Communities to become a better place to live in by providing both reviewed and unreviewed articles and workable ideas which will improve the mental and economic status of the Poor Communities, reduce the self imposed limitations, and inferiority complex that is hindering African progress.

The journal welcomes articles, research communications, and book reviews that focus on the dynamics of global change and development of Asian and African nations, societies, cultures, and the global community.

In December   of   2008,   Codewit commenced publication of the African News and academic articles. The organizations’ primary goal is to help enlighten the African communities at home and abroad to understand and search for stable solutions for the African problems.  Secondly, to help the deprived youth of Africa to develop their fullest potentials, through increased access to education, with a view to preparing them for meaningful participation in national development.

Later in 2012, Codewit Online Journals & Publications was launched. ‘‘One of the motivating factors that led to the establishment of the Codewit online of  Journal & Publications – was to have an international journal that publicized the current research going on in African countries.

The vast majority of journals published in Africa today are languishing in obscurity because they are not known outside their institutions or region. Many journals published in Nigeria, for example, cannot be found in universities or research institutions in Kenya. Furthermore, African researchers often lack access to foreign journals as most of the universities’ libraries cannot afford to buy these journals anymore. On the other hand, the scarcity of African journals in the libraries of the developed countries or on the Internet makes it difficult for anyone outside Africa to find information on some issues peculiar to the continent.’’

To promote awareness, build the skills and experience of the disadvantaged young people across Africa and the world and to effect positive social changes.

Our mission is to accelerate the dissemination of knowledge through the publication of high quality research articles using the open access model.

Open Access is a publication model that enables the dissemination of research articles to the global community without restriction through the internet. Thus, all articles published under open access can be accessed by anyone with internet connection. Academic Journals strongly supports the Open Access initiative. Abstracts and full texts of all articles published by Academic Journals are freely accessible to everyone immediately after publication.

We strongly believe that the open access model will spur research across the world especially in developing nations, as researchers gain unrestricted access to high quality research articles.

All articles published by Academic Journals are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

Innovation & Excellence:

Codewit pushes the boundary of possibilities and conforms to our goal of innovation and excellence. By using technology in innovative ways to further social change and build a New Social Order in Africa. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. So we're building here a clearinghouse that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world's most inspired thinkers. Many factors can amplify the power of ideas: mass media, technology and market forces, to name but few

Spreading Ideas:

The goal of the foundation is to foster the spread of great ideas. It aims to provide a platform for the world's smartest thinkers, greatest visionaries and most-inspiring teachers, so that millions of people can gain a better understanding of the biggest issues faced by the world, and a desire to help create a better future. Core to this goal is a belief that there is no greater force for changing the world than a powerful idea.

    •    An idea can be created out of nothing except an inspired imagination.
    •    An idea weighs nothing.
    •    It can be transferred across the world at the speed of light for virtually zero cost.
    •    And yet an idea, when received by a prepared mind, can have extraordinary impact.
    •    It can reshape that mind's view of the world.
    •    It can dramatically alter the behavior of the mind's owner.
    •    It can cause the mind to pass on the idea to others.
